Commissioned and premiered by the Centennial Jr. High Band, Montrose, Colorado, this expansive concert band work is descriptive of the world’s largest flat-topped mountain. Juxtaposition of triple and duple meter (12/8-4/4)is featured in this composition, and a rhythm study guide is included to familiarize players with 12/8 time.
