ON THE TRAIL is the third movement from Ferde Grofe’s Grand Canyon Suite. The musical motif depicts a cowboy astride his horse, leading his burros en route through the Grand Canyon. The lilting melody is one of the most hauntingly picturesque strains ever conceived.
