Description
Jean de Smetsky (pseudonym for Jean de Smet) is best known for the music he wrote for Belgian troops during World War I. A patrol is an excellent vehicle for teaching dynamics, balance, control and active listening skills. The purpose of the form is to give the listener the sensation of hearing a band on parade. The arpeggiated clarinet parts add a fresh melodic flavor.
