We are pleased to announce our in-person Band Music Reading Sessions for the 2021- 2022 Year!
Please see details below on the measures we are taking to ensure that AHS guidelines are met and this is a safe event for all. As we are erring on the side of caution, we have made many changes. Please take a moment to read the following.
To reduce handling of material, we recommend bringing your own laptop or device to view scores.
We have split up the reading sessions this year into elementary/junior high (grade 0.5-2.5) and senior high (grade 3-5), to allow as many directors as possible to have a chance of attending in a safe way. A period for socializing between the two sessions will be provided in outside areas and/or at the tailgate party.
Please note, we have also moved to some new venues to provide a larger space.
For those who feel that in-person is not the best option, titles will be available online with recordings and scores.
See below for our session dates:
All sessions split by grade:
Grade 05-2.5 @ 1:00 p.m.
Grade 3-5 @ 3:00p.m.
RSVP for the particular time based on the grade level you teach. You may coordinate your RSVP with a cohort you wish to attend with.

In my service to you, I’ve listened to the new music available. This event premieres our selections.
There will be a modified way of safely browsing/ordering all the music at the event. This includes not only the new music, but also the titles normally found in other bins (Christmas, Festival, Pop, Jazz, Choral, Reference, etc.) Once your order is submitted, please relax with a snack and beverage outside. Patios, decks, and the truck tailgate party are set aside for this. As you relax, your order will be filled so you can take it with you on departure.
June Sale orders may be picked up at the event (if requested). Our cardboard music folders will also be available at the event.
Your understanding is appreciated in these difficult times, as we do our best to give you a safe, fun, and informative event.
We look forward to hosting you as we kick off a new year filled with great music, hope, inspiration, fun, and community!
Thank you!
